free version useless

if you have Mac running virtual machines…….. do to limitations of the free version to 6 devices……. you can see only your own computer…. due to virtual interfaces. So you are blind about efficiency of the reel version. The principe of free version is too offer something useful, in this case it pollutes only your computer. A test version should be more relevant with time limitation.

crashed after update

Dont work anymore since last update

Good with bug

The software is very usefull but many time crash for any reasons.

not working anymore ??

doesn’t work anymore since its last update… shame, it was a really useful app

A Demo

Avoid. This is only a demo and can not realisticaally be used. I was often presented with a begging dialog asking for payment to a full version. Shame. Deleted.

Nützliches Tool

I use the IP Scanner in a very simple way - just to idetifiy and recognize devices in the network. I never tried more. I assume the IP-Scanner has much more capabilities. For my purpose it is a fantastic and reliable tool!

Works

as it should!

useless trial version - DO NOT LOAD

This version only shows 6 devices max - that makes ist pretty much useless. If you want to sell an app, tell me right away but don’t call it free and make it useless until I pay.

works fine

works: shows the ip addresses in the network. only suitable for small networks though. (6 devices)

Ttrying to get you to buy the pro version?

Shows that there are apparantly 13 devices on my network but as this is "standard version" it only identifies the first 6 and leaves you intrigued to find out what the other 7 are. Im pretty sure my network is secure and I know the top six devices it i, I use them all the time. If there really were another 7 computers on my network surely some of them would have shown up in the top 6. Sounds like a rouse to pretend there are more computers on your network so that you will buy the pro version to see what they are.

IP Scanner

Just shows you 6 devices and tries to upsell you to the Pro version for $30. Just somewhat useful, but feel a little sucked in. With all the wireless devices available in a home setting, even a free bee should show us more than this.

only 6 devices?

Agreed, only 6 devices with all the wireless devices I do have, its not useful at all. Even my TV is on my home network! Heres a better business model: 0.99$ for home use and 30$ for corporate use. Ill bet you that you will find 30 happy customers faster then you think. If I see a nice price change, I will change my rating.

Great

Works great. Showed my 2 laptops, iPad and airport. Just one thing if the lid is down on the laptop or the ipad is off it does not show up on the scan I have a secure network :)

Horrible

All this shows is my: Router (pointless since I kinda thought I had a wireless router because Im using it) 4 Apple computers that do not exist (IPs are 11-13 + 15) My Computer (pointless also since Im using this computer) 3 "standard version - only displaying first 6 devices) This app is completly pointless unless you didnt know that you are using a computer, thats connected to the internet and that there are invisible computers all over you house.

Pointless

Not too useful and limited to 6 devices. Should point that out on the download site. Did not identify some of the devices that it did find.

Only shows 6 devices

Would be nice if it told you that up front instead of tricking you into trying out a demo version.

Only 6?

Shows you the first 6 results. Hides the rest from you. Don’t waste your time.

Numbers

It was good, but now limits the number of devices to 6?

Limited to 6 devices

Please be up front, first line in description, that only 6 devices are returned unless you buy PRO.

Using this app generates a connection attempt from a finnish server.

I launched this app while using the Network Monitor “Little Snitch” and took care to forbid it ALL access to the Internet. Even though, Little Snitch caught it immediately receiving an incoming connection from the IP address 80.71.193.60 which is a Finnish server. This weirdly intrusive behaviour is highly suspicious and is of course not documented anywhere. Knowing this I cannot possibly recommend the app for anyone unless they are fine with their machine being surreptisiously accessed from the outside. It does not matter whether the app does its other jobs correctly as long as it maintains this deceiving practice.
